The Uyghur Human Rights Project (UHRP) is a nonprofit organization that raises awareness about the Uyghurs through direct advocacy, grassroots lobbying, and event planning with other social problem-solving organizations. The UHRP was founded in 2003 by Omar Kanat and Nury Turkel.
