Resmed cpap machine making noise when exhaling

They told me it was the motor making the noise and I would need a new one. I asked if resmed will work on it or anything like that, they said no- only option is to replace it. Of course that ran me $450 after meeting my deductible. Yay! It does seem to have a new style button and a smaller AC adapter. But other than that, $450 to stop a whistle.
