First of all, this place is the cleanest scrap yard that i have ever been to. I had no worries about getting a flat tire because its so clean. Anthony made everything go so smooth. I also got a visit from Chewy the “Guard” dog. This will be my go to scrap yard from now on. The entire staff was great.
I have been recycling scrap at this location for a while now. This last trip was by far the best experience. Anthony is a friendly, helpful, and fair man. He found some non-ferrous metal in my scrap iron pile that would bring a little more money. He did not mind me having to come back to the non-ferrous area to get those newly found items weighed in and counted for a better price than scrap iron pricing. Anthony also tried to educate me on how to tell cast aluminum from pot metal by looking for press marks and stamps with numbers/letters. The crane operator, Robert, was very friendly and helpful. Robert guided me in with my trailer so that he and I could unload it. The cashier and wielder of the green light of the big scale , Jessica, was also very friendly, helpful, and nice to talk with. This place is so well organized that it just make things go quicker and easier. This group of people have common sense and a legitimate concern for the safety of their customers. Jessica would not give me the green light to go off of the big scale until the previous customer and Robert were done unloading that customer's scrap iron. Anthony was moving a big pallet of batteries and warned me to stay clear to prevent any injuries; He kept saying “watch your toes”, LOL. I will definitely be coming back to Harmon Scrap Metal in Athens. Keep up the great work Anthony, Robert, and Jessica. Thank you!
I was very satisfied with the service that Anthony provided when I dropped off my items. He unloaded everything for me and returned my container to my car. Good job Anthony. The cashier was very pleasant as well. I will definitely go back there.
Very friendly people that are willing to help you. Anthony was great. I definitely will be going back. High recommend them if you need to get rid of scrap metal or aluminum cans!
Very helpful from the moment I came on the property I got the most money out of what bring here. Anthony swept my trailer off after glass shattered off the car I brought. If you got scrape this is the place to bring it everyone he has a smile on there face and are happy to help.
